Thai therapy & Intuitive massage

In 2017 I attended an Intuitive massage course at massage Marin. Even after I had been operated on for carpal tunnel syndrome, Marin, who has the same issue except no operation, helped me decide to self-heal through massage. After completing the course I wanted more and I completed a cupping course which helps to alleviate sore and stiff muscles.

In 2018 I enrolled at the International Thai Hand school in Amsterdam taking four new courses, Thai chair massage, Deep tissue / Sports massage, Reflexology and Thai Table Yoga massage. I furthered my studies by completing advanced Thai courses; Wot Po southern style massage, Nuad Bo Rarn Acupressure Therapy massage and Abdominal Therapy.

I found massage to be beneficial for body maintenance and general well-being. I feel fitter, stronger and more flexible the I have ever felt. Now I help others to relieve their ailments.

I specialize in the following massage techniques:

Deep Tissue Massage focuses on working on the deep muscles of the body utilising a range of techniques using hands, knuckles, elbows and knees. This therapy helps bring back flexibility and release tension. It relaxes the deep muscles of the body for a longer lasting relief.

Cupping Massage therapy helps to alleviate the source of the pain through points of isolated pressure and release. In this type of massage the recipient actively participates through deep breathing as well as identifying the exact location and intensity of the discomfort.

Thai Massage is a unique form of bodywork combining acupressure massage and yoga stretches. It is a very comprehensive and rejuvenating form of bodywork, which can be both deeply relaxing and highly energising.

Thai Chair massage therapy is a 15 to 20 minute acupressure massage performed over clothing on the back, neck, hips, arms, hands and head. Relieves lower back pain and RSI symptoms.

Reflexology massage is performed on the lower legs from the knees down including the use of a Thai stick on the pressure points of the feet which improves circulation.

Swedish Massage is gentle and relaxing and takes into consideration overlaps in muscles and connective tissue. This massage helps to eliminate toxins and stimulate blood circulation throughout the body.

Abdominal Therapeutic Massage (Chi Nei Tsang) directly massages the internal organs, unlike most massage techniques using indirect methods in contact with the internal organs. Oriental medicine states that the cause of disease is often found in the internal organs, and the massage techniques of Abdominal Therapeutic Massage help proper functioning of the internal organs. This helps in relieving constipation, cramps, knots and lumps, scar tissue, headaches, menstrual cramps, poor circulation, infertility and many other problems.

Acupressure Therapy Massage
Acupressure Massage Therapy is a treatment for various ailments, such as headaches, back pain, stress, tension (burnout), sleep problems, menstruation problems, arthritis, high blood pressure, stomach problems, tennis elbow, feeling low or depressed, constipation, sprained ankle, knee problems, neck problems, hip pain, shoulder pain etc. Acupressure Massage Therapy is used in Asian hospitals to eliminate the need for surgery.
